The creators of Signal Vault encourage customers to test the device by using their credit card at a credit card reader (like a tap-based credit card reader). The company calls this ∽ual-Stage Protection. When those scanners are detected, the device emits white noise to hide your information while also blocking the signal. In laymans terms, Signal Vault contains a microchip that detects when scanners are nearby.
